where did November go?

I hope everyone had a safe, happy and full Thanksgiving! Now it's time to get back in the gym to fight off unwanted holiday weight gain.

This was my vegetarian Thanksgiving feast.

our vegetarian Thanksgiving 2009

No Tofurky this year. We didn't like it much.

I like this article from Hostess with the Mostess just incase you needed a FYI for Christmas dinner or next Thanksgiving for your vegetarian and vegan friends.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE
I've been so busy that I watch So You Think You Can Dance late on Wednesday nights. Right now I can't even remember what happened last week.

But we're to the Top 10 now.

And I like Wednesday's opening monster routine by Nappy Crap.

Here is the music from the Top 12 show.

ZUMBA MUSIC THIS WEEK:
• Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: smorgasbord

Doing a switch-a-roo of what we did last week...

So You Think You Can Dance
I was really busy last week so I didn't watch the show live. Thanks to my DVR I'm all caught up.

I agree with who's left. And I LOVED Wade's opening number on Wednesday night.

Here is the music from the Top 14 show.

THANKS!
Thanks to everyone who made it out to the Ric Rac Roundup craft show. I appreciate you coming out.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

SYTYCD - Top 16 (now down to 14)

WOW.. Nigel sure did rip a new one into all of the soloists last night on So You Think You Can Dance. He was comparing everyone's solos to Season 5. I must agree that the solos weren't breathtaking. What the heck was Ryan and Kevin doing?

Pauline and the 3rd tapper, Peter went home last night. I don't think it was the dreaded quickstep that killed them. I personally never saw anything special from either of them in the first place. I thought Pauline was going to go home last week.

I kinda thought it was odd that Nigel said that Karen was too sexy and too confident that us gals would be intimidated and not vote for her. I really hope she doesn't listen to him and subdue her personality next week. I don't think she'll win (def. in the Top 10) though.

My picks to go next week:
Mollee and Ryan.

I think Russell is going to go all the way. Did you see him in the opening number? WOW...

Here is the music from the Top 16 show.

this week in Zumba

A warm welcome to all the new people that has been coming lately! I hope to see you in class this week.

ZUMBA MUSIC THIS WEEK:
• Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: smorgasbord

I'm bringing back one of our FAVs "Take Me Back To Your House" by Basement Jaxx. The video looks nothing like what we do in class. I think if I had you guys doing Russian squats (like in the video) you'd KILL ME!

SYTYCD - Top 18

I must say that I'm glad tappers Bianca and Phillip are gone from So You Think You Can Dance. I feel bad that Phillip's dad just died. But Bianca's big 'ole club feet and long chicken legs were just not getting it. Her partner Victor has more feminine legs than she does!

I LOVE having Adam Shankman as a judge. I believe he's permanent. I cracks me up with his comments. First he's all gaga over the ladies and then he turns around and is all about the gays.

Ok... performances. Noelle and Russell dancing with the tennis rackets. Uhm.. why?

I couldn't take my eyes off Nathan in that Bollywood number. He's just dreamy in that young sweet teen way. I can see the young girls just falling over him. He needs to be a little teen model. And I just can't stand Mollee. The judges were right saying she's like a little puppy just running around. I don't think she dances mature at all.

And that samba with Channing and Phillip was just painful. My husband and I could of done just as well after a day of practice!

I'm not going to go off on Napp-Crap today. (ugh!!!) I thought that routine to "Ice Cream Paint Job" was lame. They are always so literal! The song is about a car so let's make Kevin into a motorcycle and have Karen pretend like she's driving him... (Yeah that's real creative! - NOT).

Legacy did do very well in the contemporary. The judges almost made me cry on their commentary of him. But I feel like the choreographer played on his b-boy style by making him do his tricks. I felt the routine was very much like when Hok did the Hummingbird.

And what the hell was Wade thinking with all of those props and crap on the screen for that Van Gogh routine?!? I thought it was so distracting!

Also, I rewatched the tango with Ellenore and Ryan. Her dress was stuck in that heal for like 80% of the routine. Crazy...

I think Pauline or Channing are the next girls to go. And Peter or Victor are the next boys to go.

Here is the music from the Top 18 show.

So You Think You Can Dance live was here in Kansas City at the Sprint Center last night. I know someone who went and she said it was amazing. Maybe I'll go one year.

Don't forget the Top 18 performs tomorrow!

I just had some raspberry coconut milk yogurt by SO DELICIOUS and it was sooo delicious!
